Movember is "an annual month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November. Charitable events are held to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues." (Etsy Merchandising Desk) "A related event, No Shave November, has participants not shaving at all for the month, for the same cause. Generally one is to shave on the night of October 31st to participate. Treasury Tuesday: Most Beautiful Stripes

I often feel weird making the featured treasury one that features my own work, but this treasury is beautiful and well-put-together even without my item in it! Plus, it reminds me of the recent hulabaloo and brouhaha a few weeks ago over the Missoni line coming to Target. Pfft! Don't go crazy waiting in line at the store! If you want mod, stripey, multicolored items, this treasury proves that you just have to check out Etsy! And you support independent artists instead of a mega-corporation! (Not that I have anything against shopping at Target...) ;)

Summer is coming to its end. Fall isn't "officially" here yet, but the last couple days have been delightfully cooler. Not sure how to explain how this correlates, but cooler weather and fall makes me think of cuddly woodland creatures. maybe because you see them all around this time of year, making that last dash before hibernating. And the prince of woodland creatures lately?...the humble hedgehog. Not since the time that Sega reigned with a blue spikey critter named Sonic have hedgehogs been so popular! Hello! I am your new Tuesday RNEST blogger, Kira of KiraArts. Kaitlin of Inky Star Shop is no longer able to bring us her fun and funky Trash and Treasures Tuesdays post. We'll miss her, but we're excited to bring you a new Tuesday Blog series...Treasury Tuesdays! On Treasury Tuesdays I will bring you Etsy Treasuries featuring the creations of our RNEST members. Some weeks the Treasury may feature exclusively RNEST members' work. Other weeks I may choose an RNEST member's piece as a jumping point for a theme and fill the Treasury out with pieces from all over Etsy.
